Guernsey's dispute resolution team at Bedell Cristin has been strengthened by the arrival of associate Rebekah Johnston.

Having qualified as an English Solicitor last year, she joins the team headed by partners Alasdair Davidson, Jon Barclay and Robert Fullman.

Spending the past seven years as a paralegal, trainee and associate with another local litigation firm, her appointment at Bedell Cristin follows the recruitment of  counsel Emma Hill at the end of last year, as it continues to invest in its global dispute resolution practice group.

That global investment has also led to the appointments of counsel Tom Wright in the Cayman Islands, and senior associate Dominic Corsini-Week and associates Catarina Basilio and Natasha Woodhouse in their Jersey-based firm.

"We are delighted to welcome Rebekah to our disputes team here in our Guernsey office. She joins a Guernsey team located strategically in both our office here in St Peter Port and also in London providing the cover in the locations that our clients need," said Mr Davidson.

He added: "We continue to see growth in the number and value of instructions coming into the team across the full range of trusts disputes, commercial litigation, restructuring and debt work and regulatory matters, and we look forward to Rebekah continuing to build and progress her career with us."
