Babbé LLP maintains legal rankings in all departments

Thursday 17 October 2024

Babbé LLP has maintained its legal directory ranking in all individual departments.

The company - Guernsey's biggest single jurisdictional law firm - announced that it maintained its status in the Legal 500 UK and Chambers & Partners UK 2025 guides, the world's leading referral guides.

The firm's Disputes and Risk team received particluar mention, with one referee commenting: "Very strong advocates, rigorous in their analysis of facts and law - strong advocates for their client's position but have a respectful but good working relationship with their clients."

Individual lawyers at the firm also maintained their rankings in the guides.

Babbé’s Managing Partner, Nick Robison, Todd McGuffin, the firm's Head of Disputes and Risk, and Advocate David Doutney were recognised individually. As well as Ann Halliday from the firm's banking and  finance team and Senior associate, Vicky Olivier.

Royal Court Lieutenant Bailiff Simon Howitt, of Babbé’s private client and trust team, was also again ranked by Legal 500 as a Senior Statesperson.

Mr Robison said: ‘With the addition of highly experienced advocate, Martin Jones, as Partner, as well as further new staff hires, our Dispute and Risk team has had a year of expanded strength and experience.

"All of the senior lawyers in that team are ranked, further affirming the firm’s reputation as a market leader in disputes. And Babbé as a whole continues to offer expert legal advice to both on and offshore corporates, financial institutions and high net worth individuals.’
