After attracting criticism, some airlines have started ditching the so-called 'no show clause' from their small print, including Aurigny, which said it never enforced it anyway.
The clause means that passengers who miss an outbound flight might find their return journey is cancelled because they were marked as a 'no show' initially.
Which? published an article accusing airlines which enforce the clause of breaking consumer laws, citing examples of Virgin, British Airways, KLM and other major airlines following the small print.
The consumer campaigning magazine and website said it has been writing to airlines asking them to drop the clause and Aurigny said it is.

Aurigny has now confirmed that in a statement to Express.
The States of Guernsey owned airline said it "can confirm that it has removed the ‘no show’ clause from its terms and conditions."
Aurigny said this is because of the known connectivity issues facing travel to and from the Bailiwick.
"Any customers who miss their outbound flight on a return ticket will not have their return journey cancelled. Meaning that if the customer does reach their destination and wish to use their return journey it will still be valid.
"In practice, whilst the clause was in Aurigny terms and conditions until recently the local airline did not ever enforce it, mindful of the connectivity issues faced by its customers."
