Appleby’s Guernsey office has been recommended by the respected Legal 500 UK Guide, having increased its ranking for Dispute Resolution and retained its ranking for Banking & Finance, Investment & Funds, Corporate and M&A and Insurance work in the latest edition of the Legal 500 UK Guide.
The 2018 edition also gives individual recognition to eight of Appleby lawyers in these key business areas, with Associate Nicole Sorbie listed as a “Next generation lawyer” for her Banking and Finance work.
Appleby’s Guernsey office secured a Tier 2 ranking for its Dispute Resolution work with Partner Anthony Williams being described as a "first-rate advocate" with "an outstanding reputation."
The Legal 500 is viewed as a leading guide to outstanding law firms and lawyers, with rankings based on feedback from 250,000 in-house peers, client feedback and independent assessment of law firms’ deals and confidential matters. It is updated annually, and inclusion is earned solely on merit.
Group Partner Wendy Benjamin said: “We are delighted that Appleby in Guernsey has once again been recommended by the Legal 500 UK Guide and that a number of the team have been individually recognised. We are committed to providing excellent client service and being recommended by the guide is testament to the expert legal services our team provide.”
As the only offshore law firm with a presence in all three Crown Dependencies, Appleby also received notable rankings for their Jersey and Isle of Man offices, with Appleby Isle of Man named as “the go-to firm on the Isle of Man”, having achieved Top Tier ranking in 7 out of 9 practice areas.
