Appleby appoints new Associate

A local law firm has appointed a new Associate to its expanding Dispute Resolution team; James Gallimore has joined from a UK firm called Simmons & Simmons.

“I am thrilled to have joined Appelby at such an exciting time for the business and the Channel Islands legal market,” said Mr Gallimore. “I’m looking forward to developing my practice and working with the firm’s world-class team of lawyers."

Mr Gallimore focuses on local and international employment advice, advising on contentious and non-contentious employment issues. He qualified as a solicitor in 2019 and has since advised on Employment Tribunal claims ranging from sex discrimination to disability discrimination. 

He has been welcomed to the team by Appleby Guernsey Partner and Head of Employment, Richard Sheldon: “We are delighted to welcome James to the firm. The recruitment of James represents a real coup for the team.
