AGM of retired States workers next week

Friday 14 April 2023

The Annual General Meeting of the Retired States Employees' Association is due to be held on Monday 17 April with new committee members to be elected.

Sean McManus, RSEA President, hopes people will attend.

The Retired States Employees’ Association is pleased to be holding its 2023 AGM on Monday, 1April in the Harry Bound Room at Les Cotils, St Peter Port, starting at 2:30 p.m,” he said.

The RSEA exists to represent, safeguard and advance the interests and rights of all former States employees receiving a Public Servants’ Pension, including those on partial retirement or with deferred pension entitlement. We hope that as many as possible will have received individual invitations or seen the recent advertisements and be able to attend.

The AGM will include annual reports, Committee elections and updates on policy and practical matters relevant to Members.

Mr McManus said that the RSEA’s Committee relies upon volunteers to maintain its services so he's encouraging members to consider standing for election so that they can play their part in protecting the current and future interestswith particular regard to pensions, of former colleagues from across the whole range of public services.

He added: "If any RSEA members have matters that they would like to raise at the AGM, they are welcome to contact me, Sean McManus, on 259654 or by e-mail to sjmcmanus@cwgsy.net, or the Association’s Secretary, Peter Hughes by e-mail to secretary@rsea.org.gg.
