Guernsey's buses will be operating on weekend schedules for the coming few weeks, as the corona virus outbreak has led to a reduction in the number of passengers.
A ‘Sunday’ bus service will be operated this coming Saturday, 28 March.
A normal ‘Sunday’ service will operate on Sunday 29 March and a ‘Saturday’ service will operate as from Monday 30 March.
The decision is in response to the latest Public Health guidance discouraging all non- essential journeys during the current outbreak of COVID-19 and reflects a very significant drop off in passengers using scheduled bus services.
It is appreciated that this change in service provision might cause inconvenience for some passengers. Accordingly, the decision has been made to announce the changes today in order to enable anyone planning to use the scheduled bus service on Saturday or from next Monday to review their transport arrangements now.
The public are reminded that cash fares are no longer accepted on scheduled bus services but that contactless payment facilities are available on all buses. For those that do not have access to contactless, Pay as You Go (PAYG) ‘orange’ puffin passes will be available at a cost of £5.

The provision of bus services will continue to be reviewed over the coming days and any further service alterations will be notified in due course.
