Action in the World Bowls Indoor Championships has moved into the knockout stages with many of the favourites still in the hunt.
This morning, Guernsey mixed pair of Rose Ogier and Jason Greenslade were put out of the competition in a tight match against England’s Rebecca McMillan and Harry Goodwin.
They took the first set 8-5, before losing the second 10-6 and then being beaten in the tie-breaker.
But both remain in contention in their respective singles competitions having topped their groups.
Greenslade was unbeaten in five matches, concluding with a win against Carel Aron Olivier (Namibia) 4-4, 14-1.
He is through to the quarter finals where he plays Michael Stepney at lunchtime today.
Ogier lost once on her way through section five. In her last match she beat Rebecca McMillan (England) 9-7, 5-9, 1-0 to leapfrog above her.
Also in the mixed, Alison Merrien is playing with Sweden’s Olle Backgren .
They play in the quarter-finals against New Zealand’s Tayla Bruce and Shannon McIlroy this afternoon.
