Guernsey’s men were 2-0 up and on the front foot in their cup tie against East Grinstead Seconds.

But they lost their way in a crucial second half period and were dealt a devastating blow in the last minute at Footes Lane.

Two Matt Stokes drag flicks from penalty-corners put Guernsey in front in the England Hockey Tier Two Championship clash.

But East Grinstead roared back into the clash in the second half.

Keith Turner was on target from another three penalty-corners, the last to complete the win for the visitors came with just two minutes to go.

There was a first win of the season for Alderney's footballers in the Priaulx League.

They beat fellow strugglers Bels 3-2 to move level on points at the bottom of the table, although they have played four games more.

Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw at home to St Martin's, missing out on the chance to go top above Vale Rec, who weren't in action. They are one point behind.
