Heather Watson's focus is now solely on the Mixed Doubles at Wimbledon 2024 after she and her partner were knocked out of the Ladies' Doubles in the first round.
Watson and Greet Minnen were defeated in straight sets 3-6, 4-6 by the American duo Sofia Kenin and Bethanie Mattek-Sands yesterday.
Minnen had beaten Watson in the Ladies' singles earlier in the week too.
Now, Watson and her Mixed Doubles Partner Joe Salisbury have time to prepare for their first round match.
That's not expected to take place before tomorrow, with the British duo due to play Belgian Sander Gille and Ukrainian Nadiia Kichenok.
Watson is the lowest ranked doubles player of all four individuals with a current position of 50th. She is ranked 199th as a singles player currently.
Her partner and their opponents have each only entered the doubles tournament at Wimbledon with rankings of 5th, 29th and 36th respectively for Salisbury, Gille, and Kichenok.
Watson is the only former champion among these four players though - with her 2016 Mixed Doubles title, which she won when playing with Henri Kontinen.
