Jack Griffin's wonder-strike for the Green Lions was the highlight as the fell 4-1 away at Chertsey Town.
The result took the the home side up to second, and left Guernsey second from bottom.
Chertsey opened the scoring at Alwyn's Field through a Conor Lee free-kick on six minutes, before Griffin's left footed lob from long range leveled things up midway through the first half.
The hosts were soon ahead again when a Reuben Collins header from a dangerous corner was deflected in.
They then pulled away in the second half with goals from Oliver McCoy and Gianluca Botti.
There were two debuts for GFC, with Ben Solway starting and Jacques Cauvin coming off the bench.
