Guernsey Raiders put up a fight on the road to title-chasing Barnes
But in the end they came away with nothing to show for their efforts after a 36-21 loss.
Barnes now sit second in National 2 East and have been dominant against Guernsey in the past.
They went in 21-7 up at the break after a couple of tries from number 8 James Gallagher and another from Jacques Birch were all converted by Kyle Beattie.
Raider’s winger Anthony Armstrong ran in Guernsey’s opening score on 22 minutes, which was converted by Tom Teasdale.
Another Birch try stretched the host’s lead after the break, before Raiders had another seven points after Ethan Smith scored a try on 54 minutes and Tesdale again slotted the conversion.
It was only five minutes later that Barnes responded, this time Conan Osbourne crossed the tryline and Beattie kicked the conversion.
Raider’s were not done and Callum Roberts' try, again converted by Teasdale, gave them 10 minutes to find another for a bonus point.
They weren’t able to add to their tally however, and a Beattie penalty left the score at 36-21.
“It was a good game, I think the first half in particular we were good in attack. Five tries against Guernsey is a good result,” No.8 player of the match James Gallagher.
Behind Raiders, Worthing picked up a narrow 32-21 home win against Bury St Edmunds to move within six points, but having played one game more.
