Guernsey’s Women’s Cricket squad returned triumphant from their three match T20 International Series against the Isle of Man.
The sides met at the Norman Edwards Ground, Sparsholt.
Guernsey won the first match by three wickets on Sunday morning.
After bowling the IoM out for 98, Rosie Davis’ 37 and Annie Le Ray’s nine runs saw them over the line.
The same team then headed out at 15:00 for the second game, which they won by five wickets.
Player of the match Hannah Mechem put in a superb performance with the ball, her three overs conceded just six runs but yielded six wickets, a performance that ranked ninth in the list of best bowling figures in women’s T20Is.
She also contributed 31 runs with the bat after Guernsey surpassed the IoM’s 64 runs.
On Monday morning, Guernsey were put in to bat by their opponents.
They ended their innings on 127-5, and with the Isle of Man on 54-4 after 11.1 overs and the rain falling, the umpires called the players off the field and the covers went on.
Guernsey won the match by 16 runs via the DLS method.
