Guernsey FC went unbeaten through the festive period to rise up to 18th in the Isthmian South Central.
Owen Wallbridge equalised late on against South Park Reigate yesterday, with that point coming on the back of a 4-2 home win against Sutton Common Rovers on Saturday.
The two results, coming off the away win at Binfield just before Christmas, lifted the Green Lions out of the bottom three.
It was a depleted GFC that made the trip to South Park Reigate, with only rookie Jacques Cauvin on the bench.
They fell behind to Aiden Brown’s 38th minute effort.
There were jubilant scenes when Wallbridge directed Dave Merris’ cross into the far corner of the goal on 85 minutes.
It was not the end of the drama.
Chartlon Gauvain was played in one-on-one but his effort was blocked by the keeper, before Guernsey's stopper Josh Addison got down to divert a goal bound effort from virtually on the line onto the post.
Saturday’s win required two late goals.
GFC fell behind early on after a counter attack saw Maxwell Oldham carry the ball over halfway, exchange passes and then slot the ball home from just inside the box.
Just six minutes later the Greens were back on level terms when Chartlon Gauvain won a penalty which was converted by Ross Allen.
Both teams continued to carve out good chances, but it was the Green Lions who got their noses in front on 58 minutes courtesy of Matt Loaring from just two yards.
Rovers came back again, when Aaron Jenkins slotted the ball in at Addison’s near post.
By now there were just four minutes of the regulation 90 left, but still plenty of action ahead.
When Merris tried his luck from range after a freekick, the ball ended up ricocheting around the Rovers’ box, eventually falling to Allen to refile the ball home.
Sam Murray capped things off with his first goal of the season - and it was a cracker.
He turned his man and from his own half, flew down the left, held off the challenge of a couple of chasing defenders and tucked it under Oshane Brown at the near post from a tight angle.
