Few will get a chance to catch a breath when Guernsey gets going in its European Cricket Championship campaign with two games today.

Matches are just 10 overs a side, guaranteeing a fast, action packed offering with some big hitting.

Guernsey play a Scotland XI at 15:30 and an Ireland XI at 19:30 today at the Cartama Oval in Malaga.

They will then face France tomorrow at 10:45 and Portugal at 15:30.

Final placings for their group will be decided by matches on Saturday.

The competition has a new format this year where the tournament has been split into two divisions - the Premier Division and the Challenger Division.

The Challenger Division has already finished.

The Premier Division groups stage runs until the 14th of October with 20 teams split into four groups.

Finals week will be held from the 15th to the 19th of October with the four winning teams of each group plus the current champions of the ECC23 - England XI.

The winners of the Challenger Division will be promoted and the bottom two teams of the Premier Division will be relegated for the following year.

Jersey is also in the Premier Division and their group begins on Saturday 12 October.

They will play a Netherlands XI, Italy, Sweden and Norway.
