The Green Lionesses came away from their clash with Jersey Wanderers Women with a stylish three points in the bag.
They were dominant in a 4-1 win across the water in their opening game in the Jersey Women’s Division, only allowing a consolation goal deep into stoppage time.
Codie Le Flem gave GFC the lead on 18 minutes, picking up the loose ball from an attempted clearance before stroking it in.
Amy Dallamore doubled the lead just before the half-hour with a first-time lob over the goalkeeper. It was her first goal for the club.
Chloe Ingrouille made it three just before halftime with some persistence.
She set everything up after carrying the ball into the box, only for her effort to be blocked by the keeper. She was first to the rebound, but that was cleared off the line. From the resulting corner, she headed in from close range.
GFC created a host of chances in the second half, but the next breakthrough did not come until Donna Gallienne hit the ball from an angle and it bounced in off the far post.
With virtually the last kick of the game, Wanderer’s Ella Brennand curled one in.
GFC travel to play St Peter on Sunday.
