Alex Scott is back in contention to play for Bournemouth and could slot in anywhere in their midfield, head coach Andoni Iraola has said.
Scott has had a disjointed start of this Premier League career.
He was recovering from a knee injury when he signed in the summer, and then suffered from an MCL issue when playing against Manchester City in November.
Asked where he felt Scott could slot back into the starting XI, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “Alex can play, I would say, almost anywhere in the middle - six, eight, ten, even right winger, left winger.
“I think he has a lot of skills. He has strengths in one position, weaknesses, but I think he understands the game.
“He's also someone ready to learn everything, to take everything from teammates.
“Like the others, he knows he has to fight for his position.
“The small time he could play, he performed really, really well.
“I hope whenever he has the minutes he can continue with this level.”
Scott was back earlier than expected on the bench for the abandoned game against Luton Town last weekend.
The Cherries travel to play Nottingham Forest on Saturday at 15:00.
