Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu have steered Great Britain to the last four of the Billie Jean Cup.

Their form in Malaga has meant the doubles partnership of Heather Watson and Olivia Nicholls have yet to be called into action.

Having seen off Germany in their opening match, Britain faced reigning champions Canada yesterday.

Emma Raducanu put the first point on the board with a 6-0, 7-5 win against Rebecca Marino, before Katie Boulter brushed aside Leylah Fernandez 6-2, 6-4 to secure the tie.

“I’m in a fortunate position to captain an amazing group of people,” captain Anne Keothavong said.

“I really believe we’ve got a team that can win this competition. We’re not there yet, we’ve still got work to do, but we can enjoy this moment.”

Great Britain play Slovakia tomorrow for a spot in the final.

Slovakia beat Australia 2-0 to make the last four.
