Organisers of the Healthcare Group Masters Mile are gearing up for the second event in a series aimed at providing a platform for over 50s to stay active.
Nearly 50 runners, joggers and walkers took part in the introductory mile at Beau Sejour last month and more have since signed up.
Sunday’s event at 10am will be followed by a screening of Chariots of Fire in the leisure centre’s theatre, entry will be free for participants in the series.
It is 100 years since the Paris Olympics which feature in the classic film.
The social aspect is an important part of the series and Sunday’s mile will be followed by young members of Guernsey Athletics also taking on the route before joining for the film.
The Healthcare Group Masters Mile will move to the track at Footes Lane for the third event before finishing with a road mile at Vazon.
