There will be tougher tests to come, but Guernsey Raiders have got 2025 rolling in style.

Havant were dispatched 40-14, a bonus point win, Footes Lane remains a stronghold, even the sun was out.

It was a pleasing way to start a challenging run of fixtures after postponements last year and two away losses and keeps Raiders firmly on course for their targetted top six spot.

They are fifth in National 2 East, three points off Canterbury in fourth spot but with a game in hand.

Raiders play Canterbury away on Saturday.

Sixth-placed Bury St Edmunds lost further ground after a loss at Oxford Harlequins.

Ongoing cold weather in England meant league leaders Tonbridge Juddians clash with Sevenoaks was postponed, while second-placed Barnes were comfortable bonus point winners at Colchester.
