Guernsey’s squash and racketball players will be looking to overturn Jersey in their own backyard.
The Inter-Insular fixture takes place at the Jersey Squash and Racketball Club tomorrow, with three matches in each sport taking place.
Jersey won 18-12 last year overall in Guernsey, with a large helping hand from total dominance in the racketball.
Guernsey are sending the strongest side available, including players in Janice Radford, Martin Watts, Patrick Josey, Toby Young and Leo Ware that will be at the European Team Championships in Bucharest next month and juniors making their debut.
A shortage of players means there is no ladies squash fixture.
Charlie Griggs, Jersey’s current number 1, is travelling over from the UK to lead the Jersey men’s squash team, which is looking strong with Matt Boote, recently crowned Island Champion and Antony Harkin, the academy head coach.
Stanley Tanguy and Sé Price, both under 21, are also selected for the men’s A team for the first time.
Play is scheduled from 10:00 until 16:00 with the A squad matches starting at 11:00.
The event has been sponsored by TLC Finance.
