Earlier this week, Scott told the Bournemouth Daily Echo that he had a tough spell around February and March.
"I think since maybe the Aston Villa game (April 21) I've been showing the best version of myself, whether that be off the bench or from the starting XI," he said.
"I'm very happy with how I finished this season, my first season in the Premier League."
The 20-year-old added: "I've enjoyed it so much.
"Tough times with the injuries as well and coming back from them was always going to be hard, but I've really enjoyed it and I'm ready to go again next season.
"Hopefully I can really kick on in my second year."
Scott's knee injury prevented him from playing until eight games into the season, making his debut against Wolves on 21 October.
His most consistent spell of game time came in the final stretch, starting and playing more than 70 minutes against Arsenal, Brighton and Wolves where he produced some of his best performances.
Scott's first and only league goal so far came in a 3-1 loss to Spurs on 31 December with a low left footed strike.
