James Hamon has signed a one-year deal with Torquay United.
It means the Guernsey-born goalkeeper is reunited with his former boss when he played for Truro City, Paul Wotton, as the Gulls look to rebuild..
The National League South side had been in administration and were deducted 10 pointed in March before ending the season in 18th place.
In May it was announced that a group of local businessmen, The Bryn Consortium, had taken over the club.
Hamon played his football in Guernsey with St Martins and Guernsey FC until he signed a deal with Exeter City in April 2013.
He spent time on loan at Hayes & Yeading United in 2016 and at Gloucester City in 2018 before being released by Exeter at the end of that season.
He then signed for Truro and early in 2021 spent time on loan with Torquay.
The 28-year-old helped Truro win promotion to National League South last year.
Torquay have confirmed that the vast majority of last season's squad are leaving Plainmoor, but have since announced a smattering of new signings with some eyecatching videos on social media.
