Guernsey faced some tough opponents in the Island International.
The three day tournament was contested between the host’s Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey and the Republic of Ireland.
Ireland won the men’s, women’s and overall titles, with the Isle of Man second in all three.
Guernsey’s best result came in the women’s singles, where Sharon Le Page made the semi-finals where she lost 3-0 to the IoM’s Margaret Kelly who went on to lose to Caroline Breen in the final.
In the women’s team event, Guernsey lost 5-2 to the IoM and 6-1 to Ireland.
They got ahead 3-1 against Jersey, but then lost the remaining games to fall 4-3.
In their opening game of the team event, Guernsey’s men lost 9-4 to the hosts.
They suffered a heavy defeat by Ireland, 12-1.
In the clash against Jersey, Guernsey went behind early.
Jersey were 5-0 up before the Sarnians got off the mark. They eventually lost 9-4.
The Islands International 2025 will be hosted in Jersey.
