Sam Culverwell, Josh Lewis, Alex Scott and Hannah Silcock are in the running to be named the CI Sports Personality of the Year tonight.

The award voted for by the public will be presented live during a special event at Beau Sejour.

Cyclist Culverwell, triathlete Lewis and footballer Scott are all from Guernsey, with table tennis player Silcock the Jersey representative.
The awards will be presented live on ITV Channel Television during two special programmes at 20:30 and 22:40.

Votes cost 5p plus your network access charge. Please check costs with your network operator before dialling. A maximum of five calls from a phone number will be accepted. Lines close as announced during the live broadcast of the Betway Channel Islands Sports Awards.

Also awarded on the night will be the Grant Thornton Team of the Year, chosen from the Guernsey Island Games Swimming Team, Jersey Beach Sprint Rowing, Jersey Youth Commonwealth Games Team, Jersey men's football and Jersey Table Tennis.

While those in the running for the Sure Rising Star of the Year Award are Guernsey footballer Jack Griffin, Jersey triathlete Luke Holmes, Jersey swimmer Filip Nowacki and Jersey cricketer Asa Tribe.

The Coach of the Year nominations are Jersey Rugby's Myles Landick, Guernsey Swimming's Sara Parfitt, Jersey Football's Elliot Powell and Guernsey Football's Jordan Kelly.

Other awards on the night are the Michael Lucas Sporting Hero Award and the Judges Award for Achievement.

The special guest is former Wales Rugby International and a multiple world record holding polar athlete, Richard Parks (above).
