Deloitte will back the Corbet Cup and Shield tournaments for another academic year as part of its partnership with the Guernsey Football Association.
This follows the success of the 2023/24 Deloitte Corbet Cup and Shield where the under-11s tournament had 225 players across the two divisions with 14 teams playing against each other overall.
The competition will be split into two leagues so clubs can ensure players are given an opportunity to participate at a level which is appropriate to their current ability.
The leagues will conclude with the top four teams competing in semi-finals before the Finals Night.
GFA Chief Executive, Gary Roberts said: “The Deloitte Corbet Cup and Shield is the first opportunity for young footballers to develop their skills and engage with peers in a competitive environment.
“It’s important to ensure that players enjoy participating in their first competitive football and thanks to Deloitte’s sponsorship, we can continue supporting these children by giving them a platform to compete in a tournament.”
Deloitte has supported the GFA for 19 consecutive seasons.
Partner in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte, David Becker, said: “The Deloitte Corbet Cup and Shield are valued tournaments in Guernsey's football schedule, gaining more popularity in recent years. It's encouraging to see many people participating.
“We are pleased to support this initiative each year, helping young islanders engage in local football and showcase their abilities.”
