When they walked out on court Heather Watson and Katie Boulter smiled at each other and then got to work.
On a noisy court six packed with partisan fans at Roland Garros they went on to produce a straightforward straight-set win over Brazilian duo Beatriz Haddad Maia and Luisa Stefani to book themselves a place in today’s quarter finals.

They beat the sixth seeds 6-3 6-4 and now play Italy's Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini at 12noon.
"When we walked out onto that court, that atmosphere was loud, and we just looked at each other and smiled and we just wanted to enjoy the occasion again, because I think that's what brought out the best in us, and we have such great communication on the court," Watson said after the second round win.
"We're having a good time. We're smiling even when we're about to serve for the match. Katie picked me up when I needed it, when I had to hold my serve at the end of that second set, and I loved every second of that. And we are playing some great tennis."
