The Guernsey Football Association has put a call out for new members who are passionate and enthusiastic about shaping the future of the sport.
The GFA is looking to recruit youngsters between the ages of 14-21 to join the Deloitte GFA Youth Council, where they will work on a number of projects designed to grow the game for the generations to come.
Joelle Pengelley, Head of the Youth Engagement Action Plan, hopes to receive applications from young people with a "wide range of football backgrounds" to provide a membership representative of all areas of local football.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in supporting the future of football for children and young people in Guernsey.
"The role of the Youth Council is to provide young people involved within local football with the opportunity to have a voice about how they wish football to be structured and to develop relationships with the local community so that football can be used to create positive sporting opportunities and increase participation for young people."
David Becker, a Partner at Youth Council sponsors Deloitte, added: "The Youth Council is a fantastic initiative from the GFA, and Deloitte is delighted to continue its support of the scheme. Team sports makes has a huge impact on our mental and physical wellbeing, so we would like to encourage more young people to join and benefit from the group."
