A young man was seen getting into a vehicle and fleeing the scene of a potential drug deal after being pursued by the police.
Bailiwick Law Enforcement is now asking for any witnesses to come forward with any dashcam footage or relevant information.
Yesterday morning (Thursday 12 October) officers arrested two people in Candie Gardens “following reports of a potential exchange of illegal drugs taking place”.
BLE said in a Facebook post: “24-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs and a 17-year-old male was arrested for obstructing police and resisting arrest. Currently, the drugs are believed to have been Class C prescription medication.
“A drugs search has been taking place in the Gardens following the arrests, and the area remains closed to the public while this is undertaken.
“As per the signs on all of the Garden entrances, our dog handlers have been regularly training in Candie Gardens while the Renoir exhibition is on display in the Guernsey Museum.”
