Wildlife photography project announced

Wednesday 10 February 2021

La Societe has launched a wildlife photography project for people to get involved with during lockdown.

The photographs will be used by the Biological Record Centre to keep track of what our wildlife is up to.

“It’s simple when you are out on a walk, have a look around – take a snapshot of what our wildlife is up to and send it to us.”

We’re being asked to utilise our time exercising by looking out for wildlife to take a snap of.

The photographs will create a visual gallery and be collated by the Biological Records Centre. It’s important to record what even the common animals are doing, including robins and gulls.

All you need to do to get involved is send your photographs to communications@societe.org.gg.

You must include the following information:

All the entries must be received by 28 February and the gallery will be revealed online on 8 March.

We’re reminded to always be respectful when taking photographs of nature and to follow States of Guernsey guidance when outside.
