The North Show opens tomorrow for two days of entertainment.
Held annually at Saumarez Park, it is the last of the traditional summer shows and hosts the Battle of Flowers on Thursday as one of its big draws.
Over the two days arena entertainment includes freestyle motocross, falconry, as well as freestyle BMX and mountainboarding, dog racing and vintage tractor displays.
Judging of the tented exhibits takes place on Wednesday morning, with those opening up to reveal the prize winners around lunchtime.
Wednesday morning also sees cattle, goats, sheeps and pigs being shown, while horses and pony classes are judged in the main arena.
Around the showground throughout the weekend are trade and charity stalls, food and drink vendors, while the Beer Tent hosts music on both nights.
The Battle of Flowers parade starts at 14:15 on Thursday, while there is a floodlit parade from 21:30.
Fireworks held bring the show to an end at 21:50.
Tickets are available in advance or on the gate.
