What do you think of the Little Chapel plans?

Tuesday 10 December 2019

People have just two more days to have their say on the new plans for the Little Chapel site.

The Little Chapel Foundation is looking to develop the area around the chapel into a larger tourist attraction, with accessibility improvements, an entrance building, toilet block, footpaths and gardens and other features.

It only announced the next phase in its renovation of the chapel in the last month, but in recent days locals have taken to Guernsey to criticise the level of the development planned, arguing it will take away from what the Little Chapel is meant to be.

Pictured: Renovations of the Little Chapel have already been going on for years, with the initial works looking to sure up the small church's structure.

Either way, the Foundation is planning on restarting its fundraising efforts with a renewed vigour if it does get planning permission, as the work will require a lot of money to complete.

If people want to comment on the planning application which is currently pending, they have until the 12 of this month to do so.

The details of the application are available to view at Sir Charles Frossard House, and the outline of the application are available online, here.
