Town is awash with flags at half-mast, flowers, and the ringing of church bells as the community rises to remember Her Majesty The Queen.
Even the Petit Train lowered its tiny flags to half-mast as it drove past the Sunken Garden, where flowers have already been placed by in front of an official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
A 96-gun salute is set to begin at Castle Cornet at 13:00, before the States of Deliberation gather in the Royal Court to tribute the perished monarch.
It has not yet been announced when books of condolence will be opened around the islands for the public to write their respects.
