A piece of Second World War ordnance has been detonated off the White Rock Pier.
Local divers discovered the unexploded bomb last week and a team of Royal Navy divers was called in to investigate.
A 200-metre exclusion zone has been in place around the ordnance since last Thursday

Pictured: Following an initial misfire, the bomb was detonated earlier this afternoon.
It’s the second piece of unexploded ordnance found is as many weeks, with Guernsey’s bomb disposal unit removing a WWII bomb around the coast of Lihou recently.
The Royal Navy team visited the island with Covid-19 Critical Worker permits.
