Oil painter Tony Parsons, who claims he first “washed up to the island” during a storm to create art, is visiting again next month with a call-out for willing subjects to feature.
He will set up his large easel is various open areas such as beaches and fields in the island between 10 and 12 October and he'll paint each day for a few hours.
Painting starts at 10:00 at three iconic locations – Rocquaine Bay, Havelet Bay, and Petit Bot – with families, friends and pets invited to be immortalised in oil.
Mr Parsons is also happy for local artists to paint alongside him.
“I love to paint people into my landscapes,” he said.“Usually, people come up to me for a chat when I'm working and are a bit surprised when I invite them to stand ‘just there’ for three or four minutes while I weave them into the composition.
“I don't know what will happen and that's part of the joy of it. I paint rain or shine. I can work out the tides but that's about as predictable as I can manage.”
It will be followed by another exhibition, entitled ‘Wet Paint’, on 14 October between 10:00 and 17:00 at the Fermain Valley Hotel.
A private viewing is also being held the previous evening.
