Unprovoked assault in Town

Monday 08 January 2018

A man was attacked early on Saturday morning, as he was walking on Queen's Road in St Peter Port.

At about 02:45 on Saturday 6 January the man is reported to have been assaulted by two white men while walking towards Mount Row.

The alleged assailants have been described as approximately 5’10” tall, both are thought to be in their early 20s, and both were wearing dark clothing. One of them was wearing a dark woollen hat.

Guernsey Police have said officers would like to hear from any members of the public who many have been in the area at the time. Any residents who may have heard or seen any of the incident should also make contact.

It is possible a woman may have been in the area of the bus stop on the junction of The Grange and Queen's Road at the time and may also be able to help police enquiries.

Anyone with any information are asked to contact PC 76 Lewis or PC 113 Sweet on 725111, or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
