A number of changes to parking and traffic arrangements in the areas around the Royal Court and the Sunken Garden have been arranged to allow mourners to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.
Books of condolence will be opened for members of the public to sign over the coming days, while a dedicated area for flowers to be laid has been arranged at St Paul's Sunken Garden.
Guernsey's Traffic and Highways Service department announced the following measures following the announcement of the death of The Queen yesterday evening.
To allow for safe access for those in mourning THS said there would be "a number of changes to parking arrangements in the Ann’s Place, Hirzel Street and St Julian’s Avenue areas" which were being put in place last night, with immediate effect.

All motorcycle parking has been suspended at the Ann’s Place Motorcycle Parking area, with alternative motorcycle parking provided at the top of St Julian’s Avenue as an alternative.
The cycle parking at the entrance to the Sunken Garden has been suspended and the owners of any bikes which are still there are asked to move them to an alternative area as soon as possible.
The car parking down the left hand side of the road at Ann's Place and Hirzel Street has been designated temporary Accessible Bays for Blue Badge holders only, until further notice.
The car parking at the top of St Julian’s Avenue, from the area outside the former Randall’s Brewery towards the bus stop has been suspended. This has been re-designated as motorcycle parking on a temporary basis. The bus stop will remain in use throughout this time.
THS has asked any motorcycle or car owners who have machines that are parked in any of the areas mentioned to please remove them as soon as possible.
