The streets of St Peter Port have become a surprise performance space as part of Le French Festival.
Troupe des Reveurs New World, from Normandy, have been popping up as characters telling stories with images and puppets, at times talking in their own imaginary language and stopping shoppers in their tracks.
Yesterday they put on short performances aimed at children in Market Square.
“Guernsey Arts are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring over French Artists as part of La French Festival,” said community and public realm officer Jade Kershaw.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to explore French Culture within Guernsey, as well as experience thought provoking performance art in an accessible way. Our thanks to Maison de La Normandie for their support, and Visit Guernsey for their hard work in building the festival.”
The Troupe will be in Town again today.
The festival itself continues until Sunday and includes the Normandy Market.
