The DPA finally has a full complement of Deputies - however its President is unhappy that she was not told that someone had been nominated.
The Development & Planning Authority has been short of a member since before the summer recess, with Deputies John Gollop and Marc Leadbeater both leaving and Deputy Lester Queripel resigning before returning to the authority.
However, the authority now has five members again, after Deputy Barry Paint was put forward by Deputies Leadbeater and David de Lisle.
What should have been plain sailing turned out to be anything but - the DPA's President Dawn Tindall asked for a secret ballot, which was rejected, before voting against the appointment.
Deputy Paint was voted in by the rest of the States.
But Deputy Tindall claimed it was disrespectful not to notify her of his nomination first given the struggle to fill the final vacancy.
"I wasn't happy because I had spent a great deal of time asking members to express an interest and speak to us," she tweeted. "Instead the nomination came from the floor without notice - I didn't think that was respectful of committee members."
