A vehicle parked in a Vale vinery was accessed by an unknown thief or thieves before being driven into a tree.
A vinery along Barras Lane was entered on Monday morning, between 08:00 and midday, when the perpetrator(s) gained access to an insecure vehicle.
The vehicle was later found, having been driven along the vinery before it was crashed into a tree within the site.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with private CCTV or dashcams within the area of Barras Lane to come forward with any information they have.
