Strong winds leave damage behind

Monday 11 March 2019

As well as a number of trees being damaged, one of Guernsey's slipways was ripped to pieces during the strong wind on Sunday.

Many of the cobbles on the slipway at Rocquaine were dislodged with repair work now urgently needed.

Jan Dockerill, from the States Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services team, commented on a post on Facebook to say that the damage had already been inspected by an engineer within hours of it being reported and repairs will be arranged.
