A celebration of Castle Cornet’s medieval origins is taking place this weekend [18 August] with this year’s Fete d’Etai.
Events include storytelling, live music and role play. Living history performers will be ‘bringing the castle to life’ according to Guernsey Museums.
"We're delighted to welcome visitors once again to this special day,” said Access and Learning Manager Miffy Lane.
“It's always wonderful to see people getting into the medieval spirit and in particular getting creative with costuming. In the past we've even had handmade costumes constructed from old pillowcases and cereal boxes!"
Two groups of history enthusiasts – the Duke’s Leopards and Tol Galen – will be providing live entertainment, including an interactive medieval camp and live action role play.
The event takes place on Saturday 18 August and is free to enter for those wearing medieval clothing.
