A 10-year-old boy had to be taken to hospital after a road accident near a housing estate in the Vale.

The child was injured yesterday afternoon at around 13:00, in an incident involving a vehicle and a scooter.

The boy suffered serious injuries but luckily they are not life threatening said Guernsey Police.

Guernsey Police Inspector Tom Marshall

Inspector Tom Marshall (pictured above), attended the incident, and said: 

"Guernsey Police can confirm they attended a Road Traffic Collision today around 1pm on Croft Lane, off Summerfield Road, involving a vehicle and a child who was on a scooter.

"The child has been taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police are carrying out an investigation and would welcome any information from witnesses who may have seen the incident."
