Charities encouraged to sign up

Plans are being put in place for the 2025 Saffery Rotary walk, with just under a week left for hopeful charities to apply to be able to share some of the funds raised.

The annual event is coming back after another successful year, which saw over £90,000 raised for local charities through the 2024 Walk.

Now, third sector organisations which could do with a bit of extra funding for next year, have until Saturday to apply for support from the 2025 event.

Eligible charities can apply for funding for specific projects with measurable outcomes. These outcomes must be “identifiable and achievable”, said Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted.

“We encourage all charities and non-profit organisations within the Bailiwick to apply for funding. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of seeing how these much-needed funds make such a difference to so many worthwhile causes.

“We ask those who are applying to ensure they put together a carefully considered and well-articulated application, and we look forward to seeing a wide variety of charities applying for a share of the funds. And most importantly, good luck!”
