New plans have gone in to build five fresh homes on the disused Bordeaux Vinery site.
The old glasshouses have already been cleared, and the applicants now want permission to demolish the existing buildings and erect five two-bedroom houses.
An application was submitted and approved for five units last summer, which would’ve involved converting the existing structures into residential property.
Since that application was satisfactory to the Planning Service, a gateway has opened to allow an attempt to demolish the redundant buildings and replace them with new builds.
The overall footprint of the buildings has been reduced in the new plans, with each proposed property enjoying private garden and patio space.
The design features a smooth white render finish, ship lap cladding, slate roof and aluminum windows and doors.
Access to the site would be from Rue des Bordeaux. The original plans featured three separate entrances.
The vinery is not within a main or local centre under the Island Development Plan.
