Good Rebel wants to build a timber kiosk in front of its Admiral Park café to offer ‘grab and go’ light bites.

An application has been submitted to the Planning Service giving further details.

The proposed kiosk would be next to the café's existing main entrance where staff could serve customers who do not wish to sit and eat inside.

It would also have a quirky design, with a sustainable timber frame and wooden cladding, at an 80-degree angle to the façade.

A planning letter submitted by architects Lovell Ozanne says no demolition is required, and as the structure will be lightweight it should not require a concrete foundation.

Good Rebel, the sister of established St. Peter Port restaurant Fat Rascal, signed a lease for the new retail unit at Admiral Park in the first quarter of 2022, and opened its doors later that year.

It has quickly become a popular meeting and eating place for family, friends, and professionals.

Steve Hopkins, founder of the chain, said at the time: “We are looking forward to being a hub for nearby offices, but also offering a great dining and drinks experience for local residents.

In fact, we knew exactly the offer we would provide at Good Rebel, the moment the opportunity came up and we cannot wait to open the doors."
