Rainbow Chorus confirmed for first live broadcast of CI Pride

Tuesday 17 August 2021

Channel Islands Pride will be broadcast live across both Jersey and Guernsey this weekend for the first time, with several live acts confirmed for the event.

A free concert is being livestreamed from both the Princess Royal Performing Arts Centre in Guernsey, and the St James Centre in Jersey.

You’ll be able to watch the pan-island event online through the CI Pride social media accounts and on channelislandspride.org.

Despite Jersey hosting this year’s event, Guernsey will be hosting its own festivities at ‘Pride at the Princess Royal.’

Several acts have been confirmed for Pride this year, with the Rainbow Chorus performing in Guernsey alongside singer Eloise Fabbri.

“The Channel Island Pride teams in both Guernsey and Jersey are known for setting the bar high when it come to the annual pride celebrations,” said Pride Director, Ellie Jones.

“CI Pride is the perfect example of inclusive collaboration and working together across the Channel Islands to create something that celebrates what makes us different but also brings us together,” she said.

The live event will finish with a performance by MadHen in Jersey, a London-based party band who've supported Take That in the past.

Channel Islands Pride is free to attend at the Les Ozouets campus this Saturday.

“We’re looking forward to meeting the technical challenge of broadcasting live from Jersey and Guernsey, and we hope that as many Islanders as possible – across both Bailiwicks - are celebrating safely with their friends and family, and enjoying the fantastic local acts we have lined up!” concluded Jersey’s Pride Director, Christian May.
