Cabins used by Guernsey Raiders to store their rugby kit have been destroyed in an act of suspected arson.
The damage caused to the portacabins at Footes Lane was discovered yesterday morning.
Guernsey Raiders Chairman Charles McHugh said the damage - which has been reported to law enforcement - was caused sometime between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning.
Since the Raiders announced what happened, the club has been inundated with offers of support and suggestions of crowd funding.
"The Raiders would like to thank the community for their outpouring of generosity and frustration at the destruction of our portacabins," said a spokesman for the club.
"Many have suggested a crowd funding page to help raise funds, which is extremely humbling. Our insurers are currently assessing the damage and we are awaiting feedback on coverage. Once this is known, we will provide an update.
"Thank you again for your never ending support!"
