‘Proms on the Wicket’ returns

Wednesday 18 August 2021

The Last Night of the Proms will be broadcast live at the KGV, giving local talent an opportunity to perform beforehand as well.

It’s the 16th year of the Proms, with 54 concerts being held over six weeks and it’ll end with the iconic Last Night of the Proms, which will be played live on a big screen.

The event will be staged ‘on the wicket’ following its success last year and will be sponsored by Aspida Advisory Services.

“[We are] delighted to have the opportunity to be the principal sponsor for this year’s Proms on the Wicket,” said Joint Chair of Aspida, Wayne Bulpitt.

“The audience joins in with the singing and flag waving with such enthusiasm and it is wonderful to give our talented local musicians the opportunity to perform to a wider audience,” said Mr Bulpitt.

The event will be free to attend thanks to continued sponsorship and the organisers are hoping for donations on the door too.

There’ll be a bar, food, chairs, and attendees are asked not to bring their own alcohol.

You can find out more about the event by emailing ND Events (natalie@ndevents.gg) or calling 07781 132016.
