"Physical and mental health, together with emotional wellbeing are so closely interlinked. That is why the theme for this year Sexual Health Week 2024: Are You Feeling It? resonates with us and this year we want to highlight the close links between mental health and sexual health.”
Nurse Laura Brouard, the Orchard Centre Manager, added that HIV tests and other screenings have been held this week.
‘We also want to highlight the importance of early intervention and the positive impact that this has on the health of islanders," she said.
"During this week the Orchard Centre Team will be raising awareness of the importance of regular sexual health check-ups, testing for HIV and sexually transmitted infections, and raising awareness about issues related to healthy relationships."
Anyone wanting to visit the Orchard Centre can book an appointment without a referral from their doctor.
